Massey Hall presents Braithwaite and Whiteley at the Glenn Gould Theatre Blues Suite will be presented at the Glen Gould Theatre – Friday, October 19th, 2012 After Braithwaite and Whiteley were awarded Songwriter of the Year honors at the Maple Blues Awards in January 2010, (one of 9 Maple Blues Awards they have collected), they were commissioned by the Toronto Blues Society to compose a series of 12 blues songs, using various traditional blues styles and instruments, but reflecting both contemporary and personal themes. After two years in development, Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley are proud to announce the debut date of their new works Blues Suite and on Friday, October 19. The talented duo, with the help of some top blues musicians will showcase the material at Glen Gould Studio Theatre in Toronto, known for it’s world class acoustics.
Fresh from appearances on Fox TV and National Public Radio in the U.S. Diana and Chris are looking forward to premiering the Blues Suite at the beautiful Glen Gould Theatre in Toronto Canada.

New Single Just Released!!!
The new single Wellington County written by songwriting team Braithwaite & Whiteley was composed as one of the 12 original songs that make up the Blues Suite collection. The song is a tribute to Diana's ancestors who were amongst the the first Black pioneers who came to Canada through the Underground Railroad and cleared land to farm and live in Wellington County.

In a matter of just three years, it has become one of the most interesting and historically significant events held each year across Wellington County.
And this year, the Underground Railroad Music Festival is expected to be even bigger and better. The third annual festival will take place on Aug. 18 from 12 to 7:30 pm at Centennial Park in Drayton.
"People are really looking forward to this - it’s a unique festival," said organizer and renowned blues singer Diana Braithwaite.

Beaches Jazz Festival a hot event!
Diana and Chris rocked the crowd with their hot summer blues concert at the Beaches Jazz Festival in Toronto last week. Backing up the duo was John Sheard on piano, Neil Brathwaite on sax, Downchild's Gary Kendall on bass and Mike Fitzpatrick on drums.
Hudson River Blues Festival
CD Launch a Big Success Chris and Diana's Big Blues Revue rocked a packed Hugh's Room to successfully launch the new "DeltaPhonic" CD with Electro Fi Records. The 24th Street Wailers provided stellar backup, as the duo debuted some new songs from the CD. Special guests included Neil Brathwaite, Danny Marks, Ken Whiteley, John Sheard, Big Cec and Star, and the beautiful Bluesettes. The music was hot , the vibes were good and a great time was had by audience and performers alike.
Diana and Chris played to a packed house at the Epcor Centre in Calgary on June 5th. The Event was held in the Engineer Air Theatre and part of the Carma Acoustic Blues Series. Diana and Chris on CBC Radio One On Sunday morning , June 27th , Diana and Chris were featured on the final hour of CBC's, The Sunday Edition, with host Michael Enright.
They performed 6 acoustic songs live in the studio, as well as speaking with renowned interviewer Michael Enright. The show aired on CBC Radio 1, 99.1 FM.
